This presentation will offer practical advice on designing and delivering effective courses through popular messaging apps, based on the lessons we learnt from the design and implementation of a course for teachers on WhatsApp and Telegram. Participants will hear about the project and come away with practical tips on course design, delivery and encouraging participant engagement.

Anne Lennon is Senior Manager Open Learning, British Council, where she leads the team expanding course provision and support for the 6 million + users of British Council TeachingEnglish. She has over thirty years of experience working in teacher development, fifteen of those in online learning including running a recent project to deliver an open course through Telegram and WhatsApp, part of the wider TeachingEnglish team’s commitment to make courses and resources for teachers of English more accessible globally.
